Discrete Trial Training, or DTT, is a form of strategy that falls under the umbrella of Applied Behaviors Analysis (ABA). DTT teaches children to learn skills one by one while still following the trifecta of antecedent, behavior, and consequence. Therapists will teach one skill to children by breaking it into pieces and teaching those parts into one whole skill. Ultimately, the skills that the therapist will teach the child will be built up along the way.
At MAI, our DTT professionals will help your child learn new skills simply and effectively. Through positive remarks and rewards, we will help your child understand and comprehend each lesson that will be beneficial to his or her daily life.
